Fighting for Peace and Justice in the Democratic Republic of Congo

Our Mission

The mission of Congolese American Women for Peace, Justice and Prosperity is to advocate for peace while seeking justice for the vulnerable young girls and women victims of sexual violence in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Almost 40% of Congolese women including babies, young girls, and women of all ages have been raped since 1993. In fact, 1200 women are raped daily (the U.K. Guardian News Paper, 2020). We hope that there will be a day where the streets in the Democratic Republic of Congo will be safe for all girls and women of all ages to walk without fear of being raped.
